Kantaro Hoshino, now the general of the MAKAI CLUB and a former NJPW
wrestler, started wrestling under the great Rikidozan in 1961. A true
street fight lover, best known as "HOSHIKAN THE FIRE BALL KID" because
of his short temper. His locker room fights are too famous amongst the
wrestling mania and feared between the wrestlers where Hoshino raged and
chased after the UWF leader Akira Maeda and had a big fist fight rumble
in the 80's. Hoshino claims that if he was at his prime now, he would go
one on one against Bob Sapp inside the octagon. A dangerous little man
to fool around with, but retired from the wrestling world in 1995. After
seeing the NJPW wrestling style becoming stale, Hoshino stood up for his
master Antonio Inoki's ideology and was determined to bring back the
true fighting spirit into the NJPW world. Made a successful comeback
into the NJPW ring in 2002 wearing a full black suit with a white neck
tie as the general for his new force named Makai Club. The main official
logo and the flag for his Makai Club represent an portrait of his master
Antonio Inoki as an fired up orge.
