One of the tallest Japanese pro-wrestlers alive.
The literal translation of his name in Japanese is
"Tall Mountain." Is officially sponsored by No Fear,
which happened to be the name of the awesome tag team
of him and Takao Omori during their All-Japan
Pro-Wrestling and NOAH days. A former U.W.F.
International wrestler, represented them at the
showdown between New Japan and U.W.F. International at
the Tokyo Dome. Many consider that show to be the best
ever. Takayama has made unbelievable strides since
those days. One of the toughest there is. The only
wrestler in history to have challenged for the I.W.G.P
and NOAH singles titles and fought in PRIDE. Became a
NOAH Heavyweight Champ. Dominated the tag scene at
All-Japan and with Noah prior to his individual
accomplishments. Had a brutal fight against Fujita at
PRIDE 13, which resulted in them developing a deep,
mutual respect for each other. His fight against Don
Frye at PRIDE 21 is considered one of the greatest
fights in the history of PRIDE. A lone wolf who now
doesn't belong to any one federation. Walks this world
