Out of all the wrestlers in NJPW that came over from other federations in Japan, Minoru has been the most successful. Came over from BattleArts, an
independent federation started by former disciples of Yoshiaki Fujiwara. Back in the day, Fujiwara used to be Inoki's disciple, partner and bodyguard. Because of the stiff style and submission hold environment of The Fujiwara Family and BattleArts, Minoru has an arsenal of moves and kicks that have already gotten him the
IWGP Junior Heavyweight belt. Climbed up the NJPW ranks very rapidly. Very popular with the new
generation of fans, especially women. Currently in a
heated feud with Kanemoto. |
