FUJITA AT INOKI DOJO 11/12/02
I just flew into L.A., and since it's a great environment, I'm thinking to stay here for a while to practice and to refresh myself. I'm taking it easy now but have a lot in mind; first thing is to fight Mirko Cro Cop at the INOKI BOMBAYE event, which would most likely take place on December 31st this year. It's not definite but I want to fight him again, so I will start training here at INOKI DOJO. Also I just found out about UFC taking place on Nov. 23rd in Las Vegas, I decided to go see the fights to check things out. Next year, I have been saying this for quite some time but I want to fight inside the UFC cage. I'd like to make this happen. I've been fighting under the rules and in the ring of New Japan Pro-Wrestling, Pride, K-1 and now to UFC but I'm going to gather fighters who share the same thought and want to fight with no border in the ring. It may not become an organization but will probably be a new group of fighters. This will happen next year and we will make action from there. I can't give out names right now but we will move together into anybody's ring and have a flexible style. These are the three main topics I wanted to cover today.

Can you tell us about the fighters who will join you?
I haven't confirmed with them, but the fighters who will join my movement will share the same vision. Their motivation can vary. They can join because they purely want to fight, or they can join simply because they want to make big cash. But the main vision of fighting with no border in anybody's ring must be the same. Mr. Inoki is the biggest connection I can have, and through Mr. Inoki, we do not have to belong to one organization. If we can use this connection fully, we can go into anybody's ring and fight freely without any restrictions. I believe that there are many fighters who want to join me and share the same heart. If people gather, it may become like a new organization but we will see what happens.

What made you want to participate in UFC?
I first mentioned about fighting in the UFC when I fought in PRIDE. I want to fight in the US, inside the octagon, inside the cage. I've heard that UFC wasn't popular anymore like when it started, but if they can book me with a great opponent, I will fight next year.

You've lost against Nagata for the contender position for Mirko Cro Cop revenge match?
Yes, in 10.14 Tokyo dome, we have said the winner would get another shot at Mirco, but the fight turned into an IWGP championship, so I do not care. I'm proposing first, and in this business, I guess it's first come first serve. Who ever makes the move first, takes it all. I want to fight Mirco.

Is there any preferences to the rule?
There's no need for rules.... As long as we can fight as a human, that should be the rule. Even if we bleed or get hurt, we are fighters who can keep on going. The winner and the loser should be decided only by knock out or tap out. The one who has the stronger heart wins. I'd like to fight until one of us falls, that's the rule I prefer.
